Sometime in the 80's there was a storm that tore through Evans City and the Cemetery.
The storm uprooted trees and knocked over gravestones .
The Kramer stone was left damaged with the top half fallen from its base.

Long time Night of the Living Dead superfans and Pittsburgh locals,
Christian Stavrakis and Dave Burian,
on a visit to the cemetery in the 1990's, saw the stone had been toppled.
They took on the task of recovering the fallen stone back to its original location.

Christian and Dave managed to haul the heavy top half of the
Kramer stone from the ground and back onto its plinth.

Thank you both for putting the Kramer stone back in place.
