Unearthing The Undead 22 - WILLIAM HEARN
William Hearn was a posse member in "Night of the Living Dead". He can be seen in the shot of the posse walking down the road and walking across the field, as well as when Bill Cardille hands Sheriff McClelland his coffee.
He also can be seen in a good close up, although briefly in a tighter shot of the posse walking across the field.
He was one of Stanley O'Dea's golfing buddies that he brought along and can be often seen near Stanley in photos.
William was also neighbors with Ashby Jones, who he brought along to also be a posse member.
William Hearn was born in Ravenna, OH, and was a retired District Sales Manager for Ohio Ferro-Alloys Corp. He served with the 90th Army Division in WWII and received the Purple Heart. He was a Mason with the Rockton Lodge in Kent, OH. He was a graduate of Kent State Univ.
He moved to Sanford from Sewickley, PA, where he was a member of the Pgh Athletic Association, Sewickley Heights Golf Club and the Duquesne Club.
He was awarded the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sanford.
