Unearthing The Undead 06 - JACK LIGO
Jack Ligo was an intern with Latent Image at the time of filming "Night of the Living Dead".
He can be seen in photos of the first day of filming at the cemetery, using a light meter, As well asin background of some shots of the ghoul feasting sequence and on posse day.
In the dailies he can be seen using the clap-board.Jack also was the one that suggested the farmhouse location, after his brother Joe attended camp there (known as Camp Deer Head) for a few days in 1962.
"Jack was born in New Castle, PA on June 22, 1945. After moving to Pittsburgh, he attended Peebles Elementary School and North Allegheny Jr Sr High School. He graduated in 1965 and pursued an art degree from the Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh. He worked part time at the McCandless Township road department while attending art school. He also volunteered at fire department Peebles VFD Station 188. He passed away on November 12, 1967.
Jack was survived by his brother, Joseph Ligo, and sisters, Joyce Ligo Stump and Judith Ligo Alexander."- Joyce and Judi
