Unearthing the Undead 20 - BART RAGO

Bart Rago was a Posse member in Night of the Living Dead. He can be seen in the shot of the Posse walking down the road and across the field. At the time he was at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, alongside his fellow classmates and Posse members, Jerry Comunale and Don Wadsworth.

Bart continued to be an active player in the Playhouse, either acting or working in the Production Department. He later continued his acting studies at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

Bart also worked as Production Manager for the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Assistant Technical Director at the Opera Company of Boston and Technical Director for the regional tours of the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center.

He moved to San Francisco where he met his wife and worked as the Sound Designer for over 40 productions at The American Conservatory Theater, before returning to acting in the ACT Advanced Actor Training Program.

In 1982 he and his wife moved back to Pittsburgh and bought and restored an 1860 Mansion in Manchester where they still reside.

He has acted in numerous industrial films and commercials, contributed as a carpenter in numerous films and served for four years as Business Agent for the Film Union IATSE Local 489.
